Understanding Auction Results
What is the difference between hammer price and price realised?
The hammer price is the successful bid. On this page, the price realised includes the 22% buyer’s premium, including GST. Shipping and insurance are excluded. Seller proceeds depend on the hammer price and the agreed consignment terms.
Will my coin achieve the same price?
Every item needs its own assessment. Grade, originality, surface condition, variety, provenance and demand can all affect the result. Past results provide context but do not guarantee a future selling price.
Is this a complete record of your auctions?
No. This page presents selected results across several numismatic categories. Follow the original lot links for more information, or visit our auction platform to explore available past catalogues and results. Explore Our Auction Platform
Can you assess a collection that includes lower-value items?
Yes. Send us an overview and photographs of representative pieces. We can discuss which items may suit individual auction lots and whether others would be better grouped together. Acceptance is subject to suitability for auction.
How do I get started?
Submit photographs and a brief description through our free appraisal form. Include certification numbers where available and tell us whether you are enquiring about an individual item or a larger collection.
